Job summary

Insight Global in Brandon, FL is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to monitor and support production SQL Server databases, troubleshoot performance and availability issues, and design database architectures for new projects. You will collaborate with application and project teams to plan deployments and test backup, recovery, and failover processes, while maintaining standards and documentation.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of Database Administrator experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands on experience with SQL Server.
• Experience supporting large scale production databases.
• Experience designing database architectures for business applications.
• Ability to document architectures, standards, and environment changes.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with developers, project teams, and external vendors.
• Working knowledge of Azure database services.

This individual will be responsible for monitoring and supporting production SQL Server databases, troubleshooting performance, availability, and data issues, and designing database architectures for new projects. They will partner with application and project teams to recommend database solutions, plan deployments, and implement and test backup, recovery, and failover processes. They will also maintain database standards and documentation while communicating key updates and risks to the DBA team and stakeholders.
