Job summary

The Office of Management and Enterprise Services in Oklahoma City seeks a SQL Server Database Administrator to manage on‑prem and cloud SQL databases, ensuring security, backups, and high availability using Always On, clustering, and replication.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, capacity planning, automation with PowerShell and T‑SQL, deployments, DR testing, and collaboration with developers and IT teams. In‑office work required five days a week.

Qualifications

• Six years of IT or data management experience required.
• Expertise with SQL Server versions and performance tuning tools.
• Experience designing HA solutions (Always On, clustering, log shipping, replication).
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation of admin tasks.
• Experience with cloud SQL and ETL/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances on‑premises and in cloud.
• Monitor performance and tune queries, indexes, and plans.
• Implement backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Manage security, logins, roles, permissions, and encryption.
• Develop automation using T‑SQL and PowerShell; deploy changes.
