Job summary

Career Soft Solutions Inc seeks a Senior SQL Database Administrator to provide enterprise-wide support for AIRS databases. The role requires hands-on experience with SQL Server 2022, Always On, security, backups, and disaster recovery, in an on-site Arkansas setting.

The candidate will manage SQL Server performance, capacity planning, and ETL tasks while ensuring compliance and secure operations for production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL Server 2022 (or later) administration experience.
• Experience installing/upgrading SQL Servers and applying updates.
• Strong in SQL Server security, auditing, backups, and DR planning.
• Hands-on with Always On, VLDB, and high availability.
• Experience on Windows Server, EC2 and AWS storage.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, cost-effective, and secure enterprise-wide support for AIRS databases and related production or non-production environments.
• Perform database backups, recovery testing, and establish DR procedures with defined RPO/RTO.
• Maintain security, auditing, encryption at rest/transit, and compliance standards.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize SQL Server performance; develop efficient T-SQL and ETL processes.
• Plan capacity, storage, and disaster recovery strategies across on-premises and cloud (AWS) environments.

The SENIOR SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for providing reliable, cost-effective, & secure enterprise-wide support for business-critical production & non-production databases for the Arkansas Integrated Revenue System (AIRS) .
