Job summary

Aventiqo is seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator in the Little Rock, AR area. The role requires on-site presence and authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

The ideal candidate will manage SQL Server 2016+ environments, perform maintenance, backups, recoveries, and HA/DR planning, while leveraging T-SQL and ETL techniques to support critical applications.

Qualifications

• Senior SQL DBA with 4+ years in SQL Server environments.
• Experience with SQL Server 2016 or later and Windows Server administration.
• Proficient in T-SQL, tuning, and ETL methodologies.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, RPO/RTO planning, and DR procedures.
• Experience with High Availability methods and VLDB considerations.
• On-site presence required in Little Rock, AR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of ASP.NET Web Forms apps.
• Maintain and enhance existing code and systems.
• Lead design and code reviews; identify risks and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage expectations.

Only qualified Senior SQL DBA candidates located in the Little Rock, AR area will be considered due to the position requiring an on-site presence

Required Skills:

• SENIOR SQL Database Administrator Skills and Experience (4 Years)
• SQL Database administration (see sub-bullets in JD) SQL Server 2016 or later (4 Years)

• Installing and upgrading SQL Servers, including applying service packs, cumulative updates

• Monitoring error logs and event logs for database errors and warnings

• Firewall administration and maintenance
• Email, SMTP, and Proxy Server troubleshooting
