Job summary

IntelliBee requires a Senior SQL Database Administrator to provide enterprise-wide support for AIRS production and non-production databases in Arkansas. 4+ years of SQL Server 2022+ experience, with deep knowledge of DB administration, backup/recovery, security, and DR planning.

Responsibilities include installing/upgrading SQL Servers, monitoring logs, managing HA and VLDB environments, and leveraging AWS storage/EC2. Strong T-SQL, ETL, and PowerShell skills needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL Server 2022+ administration in enterprise databases.
• Installing/upgrading SQL Servers with service packs and updates.
• Managing security, auditing, encryption at rest/transit, and DR planning.
• Experience with AWS storage and EC2 for DB storage.
• Proficient in T-SQL, tuning, and ETL methods.
• Ability to support high-availability and VLDB environments.
• Strong communication skills and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade SQL Servers, apply service packs and updates.
• Configure and monitor SQL Server Agent jobs and error logs.
• Use SQL Server native tools, Profiler, DMVs, Extended Events.
• Plan capacity; manage storage with AWS/EC2 for DBs.
• Implement backups, restore with point-in-time recovery.
• Develop DR plans to meet RPO/RTO; test DR procedures.
• Maintain security, auditing, encryption; comply with standards.
• Support Always On and Windows Failover Clustering.
• Assist with disaster recovery testing and failover drills.
• Collaborate with applications teams on performance and tuning.
• Create and test maintenance plans and backups schedules.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for production systems.

Job description

The SENIOR SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for providing reliable, cost-effective, & secure enterprise-wide support for business-critical production & non-production databases for the Arkansas Integrated Revenue System (AIRS).

MINIMUM: 4 Years Experience SQL Server 2022 (or later versions) database administration:

• Installing and upgrading SQL Servers, including applying service packs, cumulative updates
• Knowledge of SQL Server Agent and jobs
• Monitoring error logs and event logs for database errors and warnings
• SQL Server native tools and services

• Experience with FAST GenTax/DS-VS architecture and application maintenance
• Familiarity with industry security standards (PUB1075, FIPS, and PII)
• Cloud computing knowledge
• Cloud storage, backup, and restore mechanisms
• Firewall administration and maintenance
• Active Directory knowledge (GPO, FQDN, DNS Server, SPN)
• Email, SMTP, and Proxy Server troubleshooting
• Web Services development and support
• Availability to provide 24 hour support
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
