Job summary

Teradyne North Reading is seeking an SQA Lab Technician to maintain Integrated System Test lab systems and infrastructure. The role focuses on uptime, reliability, safety, and availability through routine checks, calibration, and repair coordination.

Reporting to the Software QA Engineering Manager, you will gradually take on independent setup, test-lot execution, and engineering support tasks while collaborating with SQA, development, facilities, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics or a related field is required or highly preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with complex equipment in lab or manufacturing settings.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and escalation when needed.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude across assemblies, sensors, motors, and computers.
• Ability to follow procedures, diagrams, checklists and safety rules.
• Experience using hand tools, measurement devices, and service documentation.
• Strong organization and communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to equipment maintenance and lab support.
• Preferred: experience with semiconductor test equipment or automated systems.
• Preferred: experience with calibration, alignment, test-lot execution, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily readiness checks, preventive maintenance, initial troubleshooting, recovery, and escalation for lab systems.
• Develop accurate maintenance procedures, service records, calibration schedules, equipment documentation, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with SQA engineers, development and automation teams, IT, Facilities, and service providers to resolve issues.
• Build reliable lab operations by maintaining tools, spare parts, cables, fixtures, inventory, and infrastructure.
• Support system installation, relocation, configuration, testing, and post-maintenance verification.
• Ensure safe, organized laboratory operations by following lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
