Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Senior Systems Quality Engineer in Sunnyvale to lead system-level validation, integration testing, and test automation for complex software and hardware solutions used in semiconductor test environments. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and product teams to validate end-to-end functionality, troubleshoot issues, and drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of Quality Engineering, Software Testing, Systems Validation, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with system-level, integration, and end-to-end testing of complex software/hardware systems.
• Strong Windows and Linux OS knowledge and system-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with test automation in Python/PowerShell/Bash; CI/CD tooling like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience working in Agile environments with Jira.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of system-level test strategies, plans, cases, and validation for hardware/software.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests for end-to-end system workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across software/hardware/network components.
• Improve QE processes, methodologies, automation frameworks, and validation practices.
• Develop/test automation solutions and integrate into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Systems, and QE teams on quality objectives and release readiness.
• Analyze results and metrics to identify risks and recommended actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in validation and automation.
• Provide technical leadership across validation initiatives and coordinate test execution.
