Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and maintenance on life safety systems, including sprinklers and related product lines. You will document deficiencies, complete service acknowledgements, and adhere to a structured inspection schedule.

Role requires ability to handle physical labor up to 50–70 lbs, climb ladders or work in tight spaces, and work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience with sprinkler systems preferred.
• Reading blueprints, diagrams, specs and manuals.
• Able to perform physical labor incl. lifting 50–70 lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including on-call, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test life-safety equipment on electrical, sprinkler or suppression lines.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Document deficiencies accurately and complete service inspections with proper coding.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and complete tasks on time.
• Assist in installation and programming changes to systems as needed.
