Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, service, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems. This field-based role emphasizes reliability, code compliance, and clear communication with customers.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of NFPA standards, blueprint literacy, and the ability to work on active job sites with safety as a priority. Travel within the assigned territory and on-call rotations are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with fire sprinkler systems, components, and common service tools.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and general fire protection standards.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for customers and internal teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
• Experience with lifts and OSHA safety practices.
• Professional, team-oriented mindset focused on safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot basic and complex fire sprinkler systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify issues where systems don't meet current codes and recommend fixes or upgrades.
• Coordinate with contractors, building staff, and internal teams to schedule service calls.
• Document findings, recommendations, and repairs in line with NFPA standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests.
• Follow all safety procedures and represent Encore in a professional manner on job sites.
