Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, service, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems on active job sites. This is a field-based role with planned service, repairs, and occasional emergency calls, emphasizing reliability, compliance, and clear communication.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, NFPA knowledge, and blueprint-reading ability, with strong documentation skills and a willingness to travel; OSHA safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, their components, and common tools used to service them.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for customers and internal teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights of 30 feet or more.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
• Experience operating lifts and understanding OSHA safety practices.
• Professional, team-oriented mindset and focus on safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot basic and complex sprinkler systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify issues and recommend fixes to meet code requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and building staff to schedule service calls.
• Document findings and repairs per NFPA standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and present Encore professionally on-site.
