Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to service wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps in the greater Boston area, performing troubleshooting and on-site inspections.

You will read blueprints, climb ladders, lift up to 60 pounds, and work alternate shifts; a valid driver’s license and 3–5 years in the field are required. The role offers a competitive benefits package and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps is required.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, diagrams, and specs.
• 3-5 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and backflows.
• Read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Carry/move equipment up to 60 pounds and work in challenging positions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and wear required safety gear.
• Submit time reports and coordinate with dispatchers.
