Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines. You will carry out site visits, document deficiencies, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

The role requires physical ability, 2+ years in sprinkler systems, and a valid driver’s license; after training, you may work nights or weekends with a focus on customer service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect routine inspections, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines.
• Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through communicating devices (laptop, smartphone, or paper).
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor.
