Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring NFPA and local code compliance. This role requires technical competence and the ability to complete standard jobs without supervision.

You will diagnose deficiencies, document findings, and communicate with customers and internal teams. Travel to job sites is required; safety and quality standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician
• RME-I certification required
• Texas Fire Alarm License preferred
• NICET Level I or above preferred
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures
• Clean driving record and active driver's license if driving is required

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.

The Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician is responsible for independently performing inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
