Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to enroll in Sprinkler Fitter apprentice program.
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Willing to learn to read blueprints, specs and schedules.
• Willing to learn threading and grooving pipe.
• Willing to travel to local job sites.
• Physically fit for demanding trade work, including lifting up to 25 lbs (50 lbs occasionally).
• Able to obtain OSHA 10 Certifications.
• Ability to meet deadlines with urgency.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sprinkler Service Technicians with installation and coordination of overhead sprinkler systems, pumps, standpipes, and hose systems.
• Attend and participate in weekly job site safety meetings.
• Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints to help install piping.
• Communicate with contractors and trades to keep projects on time and budget.
• Follow industry procedures and Sciens safety programs.
