Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Sprinkler Helper to learn and assist with installation and service of all forms of fire sprinkler systems. This role offers early career growth in the fire/life safety industry and requires a willingness to learn.

Ideal candidates are motivated, able to work with tools, and eager to enroll in the Sprinkler Fitter apprenticeship while traveling to nearby job sites. OSHA 10 and a valid driver’s license are pluses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to enroll in Sprinkler Fitter apprenticeship program and grow in the field.
• Self-starter; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Willing to travel to local job site locations.
• Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sprinkler Service Technicians with installation and service of overhead sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and standpipes.
• Attend and participate in weekly job site safety meetings.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints to install piping.
• Communicate with contractors to keep projects on time and budget.
• Comply with Sciens safety programs and policies.
