SpringHill Suites Waco is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily hotel operations, supervise multiple departments, and partner with the General Manager to boost profitability while ensuring top-tier guest experiences.

You will recruit and train Guest Services staff, manage financial data, and uphold brand standards. The role demands strong communication, problem-solving, and a customer-first mindset to create memorable hospitality moments.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or F&B) or a four-year degree with 2–3 years, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by leading teams and partnering with the General Manager.
• Proactively identify and address challenges to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop teams through programs and training.
• Listen actively, communicate clearly with colleagues and guests, and resolve issues.
• Work with financial data to support hotel operations and reporting.
• Utilize Windows OS for management and reporting purposes.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards in line with company guidelines.
• Foster a friendly, service-focused atmosphere to delight guests and teammates.

Education & Experience

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage), or a four-year degree with 2–3 years, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.


• Supervisory background required.


• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.


• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
