Job summary

Bosch-Charleston invites a motivated Engineering Co-op to join the Quality Engineering team for the Spring 2027 term. You will work under the Senior Metrology Engineer in the Charleston Measurement and Calibration Laboratory, learning calibration, data collection, and statistical methods while supporting manufacturing processes.

This internship emphasizes hands-on experience with inspection equipment, drawings, and quality tools in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in a four-year college pursuing a BS or higher in engineering.
Sophomore level or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Power BI and AI preferred.

Responsibilities

Learn usage, inspection and calibration of dimensional and electronic measuring/test equipment in lab and production environments.
Gain experience reading engineering drawings and specifications for gages and parts to be inspected.
Learn to obtain data and carry out statistical studies (capability, Gage R&R, measurement uncertainty) to evaluate equipment.
Help develop and improve calibration instructions.
Support quality and cost improvement activities related to measuring equipment.
