Job summary

Bosch Charleston Measurement and Calibration Laboratory seeks a co-op student in engineering to learn calibration, data collection, and analysis in a hands-on environment. You will be guided by the Senior Metrology Engineer and a skilled technician team on the lab and production floor.

Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, performing statistical studies, and helping improve calibration instructions while supporting quality and cost improvements in measuring equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and pursuing a B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline.
• Must be at sophomore level or higher with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in PowerBi and/or AI preferred.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated motivation, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn calibration and inspection of dimensional and electronic measuring equipment in lab and factory.
• Read engineering drawings and specs for gauges and parts to inspect.
• Collect data and perform statistical studies (capability, Gage R&R, measurement uncertainty).
• Help develop and improve calibration instructions.
• Support quality and cost improvement activities for measuring equipment.
