Job summary

Bosch-Charleston in Charleston, SC is seeking a Spring 2027 Quality Engineering Co-op (1st Shift) to work under the Senior Metrology Engineer in the Measurement and Calibration Laboratory and on the production floor. You will learn calibration, measurement methods, and data collection in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

This internship offers hands-on training in gage calibration, reading engineering drawings, and applying quality tools.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university pursuing a B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline
• Must be at sophomore level or higher with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Power BI and/or AI preferred
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated motivation, discipline, and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Learn about usage, inspection and calibration of dimensional and electronic measuring and test equipment used in the lab and throughout the manufacturing plant
• Gain experience reading engineering drawings and specifications for gages and parts to be inspected
• Learn how to obtain data and carry out statistical studies (capability, Gage R&R, measurement uncertainty, etc.) to evaluate suitability of measuring equipment
• Help to develop and improve instructions for calibration
• Support quality and cost improvement activities related to measuring equipment
