Job summary

Bosch Charleston is seeking a Co-op student for the Measurement and Calibration Laboratory. You will be mentored by the Senior Metrology Engineer and technician team on the lab and production floor.

You will learn to inspect and calibrate measuring equipment, read engineering drawings, and perform data-driven studies (capability, Gage R&R, uncertainty) to evaluate equipment and help improve calibration instructions and quality costs.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a four-year college or university pursuing an engineering degree.
• Sophomore level or higher with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Power BI and/or AI familiarity preferred.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Motivation, discipline, and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn usage, inspection and calibration of dimensional and electronic measuring equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and specs for gages and parts to be inspected.
• Obtain data and carry out statistical studies (capability, Gage R&R, measurement uncertainty).
• Help develop and improve calibration instructions.
• Support quality and cost-improvement activities related to measuring equipment.
