Robert Bosch Group in Charleston is offering a Spring 2027 Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to support production lines, drive output and quality improvements, and identify technical solutions for capacity and demand gaps.

You will assist with problem solving, data transparency tools, and production trial planning while coordinating with management and engineering teams.Exposure to fixtures, gages, and WPC is provided, with training and documentation support.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, mechanical, Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Strong interest in special machinery, industrial automation, or manufacturing systems, particularly within the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with engineering principles, concept development, and system-level thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Responsabilités

• Identify and coordinate problem solving or troubleshooting activities on equipment or process issues.
• Communicate project status to management on a regular basis.
• Develop software tools to improve data transparency.
• Develop plans for production trials, focusing on equipment and process quality and technical documentation.
• Assist with training and documentation for hourly and salaried associates.
• Troubleshoot production problems and identify root causes.
• Update machine drawings to improve equipment robustness or stability.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans (WIs, CPs, PFMEA, gage logs).
• Work with SolidWorks to improve design of machining fixtures, gages, robots’ grippers, WPC.
• Develop workplace layouts and material flow.
