Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 seeks a Spring Play Director to organize, supervise, and promote a student activity in alignment with district goals. You will mentor students, collaborate with staff and administrators, and ensure a safe, engaging extracurricular experience.

The role functions as a non-tenure, extra-duty assignment with stipend support as per the PTU agreement. Experience in school activities and leadership is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work collaboratively with students.
• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties of the position.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for all club activities, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved with proper permissions and transportation.
• Maintain compliance with district policies and state laws (FERPA, etc.).
• Prepare students for participation with clear expectations and feedback.
• Coordinate facility usage and budgeting for club events.
• Promote student involvement and leadership opportunities in the club.
