Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools is seeking a Fall Play Tech Director at Proviso West High School to organize and supervise a student activity tied to the fall play. The sponsor acts as mentor and liaison among students, staff, and administration to ensure a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience.

The role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and collaboration with teachers to support students’ academic and artistic development.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Leadership skills demonstrated in school settings preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff.
• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for club activities, meetings, events, and practices, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure off-campus activities follow district procedures and obtain permissions.
• Comply with mandated reporting obligations under Illinois law (FERPA, etc.).
• Prepare students for participation with clear expectations and constructive feedback.
• Guide students in planning inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the club’s mission.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage with school personnel for well-organized events.
• Promote student involvement and positive interpersonal relationships.
