The City of Chesapeake seeks a Spring Intern for Police (Safety & Security Operations) to gain hands-on experience in public safety technology, teamwork, and project management. You’ll support security projects, create materials, and help with training resources, contributing to the City’s safety initiatives.

Ideal candidates are students in good standing, preferably juniors/seniors or graduates, with interest in criminal justice, government operations, or technology.

Responsibilities

• Supporting safety and security projects across the City.
• Creating and updating spreadsheets and project tracking data.
• Assisting with documentation related to security projects.
• Developing standardized physical security practices and procedures.
• Assisting with training material development and safety resources.
• Helping create training videos related to City safety initiatives.
• Providing general administrative and project support to division staff.
