Job summary
Vertex Exploratory Chemistry Co-Op is a 6-month experiential training program for advanced degree students in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields. You’ll work on PD Media Development projects, gaining hands-on experience with chemistry and biology teams and contributing to data generation for process development and manufacturing readiness.
The program runs January–July 2027, with an application deadline of Nov 15, 2026.
Qualifications
- Senior, Master’s, or PhD student expected.
- Chemical Engineering or Chemistry degree required.
- Familiarity with LC-MS techniques.
- Experience with solubility and stability of small molecules.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize chemical reagents and mixtures for small molecule studies.
- Support solubility and stability assessments in collaboration with PharmSci and AD.
- Process and interpret LC-MS data to evaluate identity, integrity and degradation.
- Document methods and observations clearly and reproducibly.
- Summarize findings and recommend workflow optimizations for the T1D program.
