Job summary

Hartford Public Schools is seeking Spring Athletic Coaches for the 2025-2026 school year at Weaver High School. Coaches will support varsity and JV teams across baseball, softball, track, esports, and strength and conditioning, coordinating practices and competitions.

Responsibilities include safety oversight, enforcing discipline and sportsmanship, maintaining attendance and equipment, and coordinating with staff, students and parents.

Qualifications

• Three years successful coaching experience.
• 1 Urban setting experience.
• Knowledge of Hartford Public Schools regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing development and improvement of coaching student-athletes through coordination, planning, evaluation and implementation of programs.
• Help students achieve skill, discipline, sportsmanship and self-esteem.
• Coordinate practice schedules, supervise contests, and oversee equipment and safety.
