Job summary

Hartford Public Schools seeks Spring Athletic Coaching positions for the 2025-2026 school year at Hartford Public High School. Coaches will develop student-athletes and coordinate practices and competitions.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and CT Coaching Permit, First Aid/CPR, concussion training, and strong leadership skills to support discipline and sportsmanship among diverse student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• CT Coaching Permit and First Aid/CPR required.
• Concussion training and Mandated Reporter training required.
• Experience coaching in urban school setting preferred.
• CIAC/NFHS regulations knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve coaching programs through planning and evaluation.
• Coordinate and implement in-season practice schedules with the Supervisor.
• Oversee safety of facilities and distribution/collection of equipment.
• Support student-athletes in skill development, discipline and sportsmanship.
