Qualifications

• Three years successful experience in the identified coaching area.
• Successful experience in working with staff, students, and parents in an urban setting.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing development and improvement of coaching student-athletes.
• Help each student achieve a high level of skill and sportsmanship.
• Oversee safety conditions of the facility during sports events.

Skills

Ability to establish written rules and regulations

Ability to enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior

Ability to coach individual participants

Excellent leadership skills

Knowledge of coaching and athletics regulations

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field

Current Coaching Permit issued by the CT State Department of Education
