Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Registered Professional Nurse in Atlanta to independently plan and provide bedside nursing care in accordance with physician orders, Georgia Nurse Practice Act guidelines, and hospital policies.

The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, coordination and patient empowerment, with preferred BSN and advanced life-support credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units are preferred.
• Visual color acuity necessary for specific roles.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• The Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in line with Northside Hospital's philosophy and policies, upholding values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Required
