Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed RN in Georgia in good standing.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• BSN degree preferred; additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other clinical certifications in specific units are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Manage patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital policies.
• Demonstrate values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment in nursing practice.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

1. BSN degree
2. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
