Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. The RN will manage care for an assigned patient group and align practice with hospital values of collaboration and empowerment.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, GA RN licensure in good standing, and BLS; BSN and additional life support certifications are preferred to

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold Georgia RN license in good standing without limitations.
• Must have American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Manages patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital policies.
• Contributes to collaboration, communication, coordination, and empowerment within the care team.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

1. BSN degree
2. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
