Job summary

Emerson co-ops in Elyria, Ohio invite students pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields to join a hands-on program. You will rotate through Engineering Lab, CAE, and Product Engineering, performing feasibility studies, design support, and testing.

You will gain experience with lab equipment, circuit boards, schematic capture, PCB layout, and C programming of microcontrollers, under mentorship from managers and business leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• Ability to work full-time during the scheduled semester
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests using various types of lab equipment.
• Build circuit board prototypes using through-hole and surface mount technologies.
• Create schematics and PCB layout used to design embedded circuit boards on CAD.
• Learn "C" programming of microcontrollers.
• Design, build, and test complete circuit boards.
