Job summary

Emerson is seeking a motivated undergraduate student for a multi-rotation co-op program in Elyria, OH. You will work in engineering labs, CAE, and product engineering, gaining hands-on experience with circuits, PCB design, and embedded programming.

You’ll contribute to hands-on testing, build prototypes, and learn C programming for microcontrollers, with mentoring from experienced managers. This paid co-op offers real responsibilities and a pathway to full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Ability to work full-time during the scheduled semester.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests using various types of lab equipment.
• Build circuit board prototypes using through-hole and surface mount technologies.
• Create schematics and PCB layout used to design embedded circuit boards on CAD.
• Learn "C" programming of microcontrollers.
• Design, build, and test complete circuit boards.
