Emerson co-ops gain meaningful work with mentorship from managers and leaders, rotating through Engineering Lab, CAE, and Product Engineering. You will set up tests, analyze data, and learn CAD with Solid Edge while contributing to design concepts and drawings.

You’ll present findings each semester and develop hands-on skills in testing, data analysis, and engineering collaboration. This program supports growth and real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided.
• Able to work full-time in the scheduled semester.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and conducting tests and gathering data.
• Analyze test data and learn data analysis techniques.
• Write test lab reports.
• Learn to use CAD (Solid Edge) for 3D modeling of parts and assemblies.
• Build new design concepts and detailed drawings using CAD.
• Assist engineers in product development and sustaining engineering activities.
• Learn to troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions.
• Design project: conceptual design, computations, CAD, prototype build, testing and debugging.
• Final presentation to VP Engineering and engineering staff each semester.
