Texas Materials, a CRH Company, invites applications for Construction Internship (Spring 2027) in Waco, TX. Students will gain hands-on experience in heavy civil construction, asphalt operations, plant maintenance, quality control, and project management skills.

You will work with safety-focused teams, learn from skilled professionals, and participate in estimating, scheduling, and contract-related activities while supporting field and plant operations.

Qualifikationen

• Students must be pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, geology, business, or related field.
• Must be available to work full time during the spring semester of 2027.

Aufgaben

• Construction Operations - Hands on learning with asphalt paving crews and heavy civil construction crews.
• Hotmix Plant Operations - Hands on learning in plant operations.
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance - Hands on experience in QC lab setting.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safety.
• Participate in daily safety discussions and toolbox talks.
• Estimating, pricing, and bidding work
• Contract administration – subcontract and material contract management
• Trend tracking – quantities, costs, and progress curves
• Equipment and material management
• Material takeoffs and material receipt inspections
• Scheduling and work plan development - coordination between plant and construction activities
