Job summary

The Democratic National Committee invites law students to apply for the Spring 2027 Civic Engagement and Voter Protection Legal Internship. The program runs January 11, 2027 to March 19, 2027 and offers in-person, hybrid, or remote work in the United States.

Interns will gain exposure to election laws, conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and support the Voter Protection Hotline, with a $3,700 stipend for the term. Applicants must be enrolled in U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a United States law school.
• Available for the internship dates (Jan 11, 2027 – Mar 19, 2027).
• Willing to work 20 hours per week or as required by institutional program.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Manager of Civic Engagement and Voter Protection.
• Attend mandatory onboarding/offboarding sessions.
• Conduct legal research.
• Draft legal memoranda.
• Assist the Voter Assistance Hotline and related resources.
• Develop voting rights education materials and resources.
