Job summary

Balchem Corporation is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a Spray Dry production team in our facility. The role focuses on delivering on the production schedule, maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency while guiding the shift team through daily operations.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in a food plant, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance and QA to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school education required with strong math score, verbal and written communication skills.
• Some college coursework preferable.
• Three to five years of supervisory or group leader experience in a food plant environment is required.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct and motivate people to ensure potential for advancement.
• Must be able to work long days, weekends, and holiday schedules.

Responsibilities

• Has primary responsibility for ensuring safe, environmentally responsible production of material in the plant.
• Ensure compliance to the production schedule at all times.
• Determine efficient use of personnel, equipment, and supplies to achieve schedule.
• Work with quality assurance to follow all food safety policies.
