Job summary

Balchem Corporation is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a Spray Dry production team, ensuring safe, efficient operations aligned with the Production Schedule and SOPs. You will advise, control, and support operations while promoting a team-based approach and strong communication with management.

The role requires experience in food plant supervision, strong math and computer skills, and flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of supervisory or group leader experience in a food plant environment.
• Strong math, computer literacy, verbal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct and motivate people to ensure potential for advancement.
• Long days, weekends, and holiday work schedules may be required.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective production to meet schedule.
• Ensure compliance to the production schedule at all times.
• Communicate shift activities to Production Manager daily.
• Supervise team, coach staff, and participate in interviewing and training.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and safety policies.
