Job summary

Donaldson in Greeneville, TN is seeking a welder to join the production line, setting up spot welders, forming liners, and ensuring quality by following blueprints and routings. You will work closely with peers to keep the line productive and compliant with safety standards.

The role involves daily paperwork, line communication, and participation in 6S and continuous improvement efforts on-site.

Qualifications

Read blueprints and routings and perform basic math.
Maintain regular attendance and work in a fast-paced setting.
Identify defective material and report to supervisor.
Ensure safety and PPE compliance and policy adherence.
Communicate effectively with assembly line teammates to maintain production goals.

Responsibilities

Sets-up and operates spot welders and H-clips for steel.
Performs proficient change-overs with no line stoppages.
Forms liners within quality/quantity standards per blue prints/route sheets.
Fits and positions weldments using fixtures, jigs and rollers.
Recognizes and understands functions of welder, H-clip machine, and roller table for safe operation.
Communicates with line teammates to sustain production rate.
Completes scrap sheets, return to stock, safety checks and first piece sheets.
Performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
Keeps work area clean and safe (6S) and supports CI initiatives.
Maintains routed standards and other key metrics (change over time, scrap, returns).
Works overtime as needed and assists other departments.
