Marquee Broadcasting West Inc. in Mills, WY is seeking a Sports Reporter/MultiMedia Journalist to join our award-winning news team. You will learn and grow in the broadcast industry by developing stories, shooting, editing, and going live, with a strong emphasis on local sports coverage.

Expect to post timely web content and meet daily deadlines while reporting live from events. A journalism degree or equivalent, plus a demo reel and a valid driver’s license, are required for this full-time

• Knowledge of non-linear video editing programs is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling to respond to the changing news landscape.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Perform regular duties of a Sports/News reporter, from developing story ideas to shooting, editing, and going live, as well as posting on digital and social platforms with an emphasis on covering local sports
• Meet tight daily deadlines for broadcast while posting web content that is original and fresh in a timely manner
• Report live from various sporting events as needed
• Knowledge of non-linear video editing programs is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility in scheduling, to respond to the changing news landscape

• A degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18 per hour (Overtime when approved)

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
