KCWY-TV in Casper, Wyoming is seeking a motivated Reporter/Multimedia Journalist to shoot, edit, and share stories on air and online. You’ll work the Casper market with live reports, deadlines, and social content, building experience in a competitive broadcast setting.

A journalism degree or equivalent experience is required along with a valid driver’s license, resume and reel. Pay starts at $16 per hour with yearly pay raises and full-time, in-person work.

We're looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our award-winning news team as an Reporter/ MultiMedia Journalist for our Casper, Wyo. team. This is a terrific opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the broadcast industry without the high-stakes presser of a larger market.

KCWY-TV is the dominant news source for the Casper market and serves as a partner alongside KGWN Cheyenne-Scottsbluff. Located in central Wyoming, Casper is in the perfect location to enjoy skiing, camping, hiking and just about anything outdoors you can imagine. Filled with great breweries, museums, fly fishing holes, and local shopping, it's got something for everyone. With stations in Casper, Cheyenne, and Scottsbluff, NE we are focused on telling local stories that matter while remaining dominant both on broadcast and digital. Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Perform regular duties of an MMJ - from developing story ideas to shooting, editing, and going live, as well as posting on digital and social platforms
• Meet tight daily deadlines for broadcast while posting web content that is original and fresh in a timely manner
• Respond urgently and appropriately to breaking and developing news
• Knowledge of non-linear video editing programs is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility in scheduling, to respond to the changing news landscape

Requirements

• Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
