Job summary

The Jewish Community of Louisville is seeking a part-time Sports Coordinator / Manager on Duty to support both the Sports and Membership/Operations departments. The role will oversee multiple sports programs and serve as lead staff during MOD shifts.

You will recruit and supervise coaches, coordinate facilities, manage safety protocols, and help maintain the department budget. The position requires strong customer service and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating or managing recreational sports.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and game-day events.
• Ability to respond quickly to safety and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate sports leagues, practices, clinics, camps, and events across multiple sports.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise coaches, referees, scorekeepers, and seasonal staff.
• Coordinate facility and equipment setup; ensure spaces are safe and ready.
• Maintain equipment inventory and report safety concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service to participants, parents, members, and guests.
• Manage the Sports Department budget and related items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
