Job summary

City of Lake Oswego is seeking a facility maintenance assistant to support scheduled sports programs across parks, arenas and centers. You will help with equipment, open/close spaces, and ensure spaces stay clean and organized.

The role requires interaction with youth and adults, basic tech use, and the ability to document issues and incidents for the Sports Coordinator. A high school diploma and valid Oregon driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in general maintenance or equivalent.
• Oregon Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift 25–40 pounds.
• Basic safety and custodial knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of sports rules is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Attend to gymnasium and assist staff with equipment and facility needs.
• Open and close gymnasium; perform cleaning and organizational tasks.
• Communicate facility issues and incidents to Sports Coordinator.
• Assemble equipment and setup/breakdown sports activities and events.
• Enforce activity, league and facility rules; complete related reports.
