Job summary

The City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department is seeking Recreation Support staff for the Lake Oswego Recreation and Aquatic Center (LORAC). This part-time, on-call or temporary role requires physical work, an outgoing attitude, strong communication skills, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities include janitorial duties, setting up and cleaning up for events, maintaining accessibility and order, and assisting instructors and participants.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building cleanliness, repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with custodial operations and basic repairs.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks (email, scheduling).
• Six months’ maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Oregon Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning, setup and breakdown support for events.
• Maintain building areas, assist instructors and participants.
• Assist with room usage coordination and directions.
• Maintain building security and liaison with staff and the public.
• Support contractors with locating sites and equipment.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature.
