Requirements:

• This role requires physical fitness and mental alertness, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, thinking, reasoning, and calculating, often continuously.
• A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and must be consistently demonstrated in interactions with members and team members.
• Must have at least one year of experience working with children.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults, infants, and children, or ability to obtain it.
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work full-time days Monday through Friday and commit to the entire summer season.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
• Compliance with any state-specific licensing requirements, as applicable.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of campers through their one-week camp experiences.
• Fostering friendships among youth to ensure each child feels connected to their camp community.
• Completing daily opening and closing procedures and safety logs.
• Communicating daily with parents, team members, club members, and the Camp Site Director through written and verbal updates.
• Understanding and communicating the specific needs of campers, including safety or behavioral concerns.
• Maintaining cleanliness, branding consistency, and good repair in all areas used by the camp.
• Finding coverage for sick days and notifying about planned vacations before the season starts.
