Requirements

• Must be physically fit and mentally alert; activities include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, thinking, reasoning, and calculating.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and professional behavior in interactions with members and team members.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with children.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults, infants, and children, or the ability to obtain it.
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to work full-time days Monday-Friday and commit to the entire summer season.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Compliance with any state-specific licensing requirements.

Basic Responsibilities

• Lead a team of campers through their weekly camp experiences.
• Develop friendships with youth to ensure each child feels connected to the camp community.
• Complete daily opening and closing procedures and safety logs.
• Communicate daily with parents, team members, club members, and the Camp Site Director.
• Understand and communicate the specific needs of campers, addressing safety or behavioral concerns appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and good repair of the areas used by the camp.
• Arrange coverage for sick days and communicate planned absences prior to the season.
