Job summary

i9 Sports Gulfport is a youth sports program that emphasizes fun, safety, and learning for players aged 3–14. The Sports Coordinator enforces rules, coaches during games and practices, and helps foster a positive program culture.

You will oversee game-day activities, lead skill-focused sessions, and promote sportsmanship while working weekends and some evenings during the seven-week season.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge.
• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently.
• Ability to work a varied work schedule, including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks).
• Must be at least 15 years old to apply.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce league rules and safety protocols.
• Lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals and skill development.
• Run game-day activities and coach players during games.
• Maintain positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to families.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of fields on game day.

Job Summary

The Sports Coordinator is a critical role in any sports field, responsible for enforcing rules, cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role directly impacts players, coaches, and spectators every game day.

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rulebooks, ensuring fun, learning, and safety for all players
• May lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals and skill development
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts, including Sportsmanship values
• Keep time and score during the games (officiate/referee)
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
• Help set up and break down fields on game day.
