Job summary

The University of Miami invites applications for a full-time Senior Manager, Sponsored Programs to support the research mission of MSOM and the Office of the Executive Dean for Research. This role can be Hybrid or Remote in Miami, FL.

The position requires federal grant administration experience with sponsors such as NIH, DOD, and NSF, with oversight of post-award activities, budgets, and compliance, and leadership of the Sponsored Programs team.

Qualifications

• Experience with federal grant administration and sponsors such as NIH, DOD, NSF.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to lead and supervise sponsored programs staff and develop reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential donors or funding sources and plan outreach strategies.
• Develop and review grant applications and proposals.
• Train, mentor, and supervise sponsored programs staff; prepare performance reports.
• Oversee submission of proposals to federal agencies, foundations, and industry sponsors.
• Ensure compliance with University policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate post-award activities including financial reporting, forecasting, and effort certification.
