Job summary

Harvard University’s Research Administration Office (RAO) seeks a Sponsored Programs Manager to oversee proposal review and post-award monitoring for a portfolio of sponsored projects. You will coordinate with central offices and research centers to ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional policies.

The role requires strong communication, risk management, and training abilities, with experience across US federal and other sponsors. Hybrid collaboration with multiple offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of broad-based research administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of sponsored research regulations and grant lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee proposal review and approvals for sponsored grants and contracts.
• Manage post‑award monitoring and reporting for compliance and accuracy.
• Coordinate with central offices (OSP, GSS, OVPR, OGC, RMAS) and research centers.
• Provide training and serve as a resource on research policies and procedures.
