Job summary

Ervin Cable in Nashville, TN seeks a Splicing Manager to lead fiber optic and coaxial splice operations. You will supervise staff, ensure accurate task completion, and develop efficient processes while troubleshooting issues in a dynamic telecom environment.

The role requires knowledge of fiber/coax networks, splice enclosures, and ability to use TDR/OTDR and fusion splicing equipment. Authorized work in the United States is assumed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years related work experience required.
• Experience supervising or managing teams in a technical setting preferred.
• Proven ability to plan, organize, and coordinate tasks.

Our Splicing Manager shall supervise employees in the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber optic and coaxial cable, splice enclosures and the functionality of each; ability to use TDR/OTDR and fusion splicing equipment; ability to read fiber matrices; ability to interpret and analyze data; and, ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.
